Apparently our address does not exist according to the city of Rockwall.
I went to City Hall this morning to pay for a water meter since ours was never installed. We thought it was included in our permit payment, but figured since it was never placed, we didn't pay for it. Turns out is was included, we just needed to call in to request it. Ok. So I requested it. Done.
Later today, I went out to the lot to confirm that we did indeed fail the inspection (we were expecting that). I called Erik and he already heard from the plumber who is coming out tomorrow to fix the issues. The water meter will also be placed tomorrow. One of the issues on the denied inspection was a missing copy of the plat approved by the city to compare to that of the form survey. Erik called the city to ask about that and our address wasn't in the computer. So the lady told Erik she'd look for it and call him back. So Erik called the inspector to ask about why our address didn't exist, and he said that surely it did and he would find it for us.
So that's where we stand. We will get reinspected tomorrow afternoon after the plumber is finished and can hopefully move on. Here's the progress:
